And he said this job will be on contract basis and it will last for three years Before considering absorbing into the civil service in full due to thier performance. After almost two years of processes the program finally kick off 1st of March 2022. And it was stated in the letter of contract of appointments that the government will begin payment in six months and all arrears will be pay in full.
On the 25th of August 2022 the Edo State government paid one Month out of the six months and some certain figures was deducted from the stipend. Edostar teacher lamented over the one salary and threatened not to resume September 12th  if the government could not pay all the arrears as promised earlier. In a view of that the Edo State Government paid all the arrears on the 29th of August 2022. Meanwhile, many Edostar teachers are complaining of not receiving any stipend yet while others have been fully paid.
They raise a motion on the uncertain issues regarding the breakdown of payment and why thier colleagues have not been paid.
Their motion are:
Firstly, why some of our colleagues have not been paid?

Thirdly, why removing taxes in a contract job?

Edo Matter

DR. TONY AZIEGBEMIN SHOULD THANK THE EDO STATE GOVERNMENT RATHER THAN MISLEADING THE PUBLIC It is truly disheartening to see the Edo State PDP Chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemin , attempt to mislead the public with baseless accusations against the Edo State Government under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo . In a recent video, Dr. Aziegbemin shamelessly described Edo State as the capital of kidnapping and crime, while falsely claiming that former Governor Godwin Obaseki left behind a functional and effective security architecture. Such a statement is not only misleading but also an insult to the intelligence of the people of Edo State who lived through the failures of the past administration. Dr. Aziegbemin, as an elder statesman, should be at the forefront of upholding truth and integrity. However, it is disappointing to see him stoop so low to defend a government that oversaw one of the worst security crises in Edo’s history. The reality is clear: under Obaseki’s ad...
