APC Stakeholders in Esan South East Local Government Endorsed Hon Dr Joseph Ikpea

Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea’s Campaign Gains Momentum in Esan South East Local Government

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders in Esan South East Local Government have unanimously endorsed Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea for Senate in Edo Central Senatorial District.

The meeting, held at the residence of Hon. Victor Eboigbe, leader of the local government, brought together key party members and supporters. Hon. Eboigbe expressed gratitude to the APC faithful for their loyalty and urged them to rally behind Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea’s senatorial ambition. He emphasized that Dr. Ikpea, a seasoned party stalwart, has proven his dedication and competence over the years. Reflecting on Esan South East’s development, he remarked, “Since Hon. Dr. Joseph Ikpea and Hon. Victor Emuakhagbon left office as council chairmen, meaningful development in the local government has stagnated.”

Ward 5 leader, Barr. Richard Oyedo, also pledged his support for Dr. Ikpea, calling on party members to promote his candidacy throughout the Edo Central Senatorial District. He highlighted Dr. Ikpea’s pragmatic leadership, which has positively impacted many lives across Esan Land and Edo State at large.

Dr. Ikpea, a former Commissioner for Oil and Gas and former Council Chairman of Esan South East Local Government, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Victor Eboigbe, ward leaders, and other stakeholders for their support. Recounting his contributions to the APC, he stated, “I have been a foundational member of this great party since its days as ACD, AC, ACN, and now APC. In 2008, I personally took responsibility for paying the state secretariat rent when the party was in its infancy.” He dismissed claims that he was a newcomer to the party as baseless.

Addressing the urgent need for development in Esan Land, Dr. Ikpea declared his commitment to using his extensive experience in both private and public sectors to drive progress if elected. “I will not disappoint the good people of Esan Land,” he assured.

Hon. Chief Sunny Ojiezele (Ikponomen), a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Esan South East Constituency and an imminent returnee to the APC, also endorsed Dr. Ikpea. He described Dr. Ikpea as a man of integrity and urged all party members to support his bid for Senate.

Elder Sam Eboigbe expressed his optimism about Dr. Ikpea’s candidacy and moved a motion for his endorsement. Following this, leaders from all ten wards in Esan South East Local Government, including ward chairmen, secretaries, youth leaders, and women leaders, unanimously endorsed Dr. Ikpea.

This widespread endorsement signifies a strong and unified APC backing for Dr. Ikpea’s senatorial ambition, setting the stage for a promising campaign across Edo Central Senatorial District.
